The new plant mirrors a commitment to excellence that has been a Charlotte Pipe tradition since 1901 and one that guides the Company’s plans for generational growth. The Company has invested $58 million in the plant’s environmental systems and controls, including an on-site 70,000-megawatt substation that produces enough electricity to power 70,000 single-family homes. Charlotte Pipe is also a major recycler, annually melting more than 150,000 tons of scrap iron and steel.
